Engineering and working together for a brighter tomorrow
As Purdue’s PEF eV Grand Prix club, we work together towards a common goal of completing an electric kart for the Indianapolis International eV Grand Prix held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We are comprised of 30 students with various educational backgrounds. Our 30 members are divided into four groups; chassis, power train, electronics, and suspension group. Each of these groups work on different components of the kart and come together to complete it. Being a part of this club we hope to learn through hands on experiences about building, and developing electric vehicles to help create a new tomorrow.

The Purdue Electric Vehicle Grand Prix was launched in 2010 as part of Purdue’s approach to developing the next generation of automobiles powered by electricity. Spring of 2014 will be the 4th year of the evGrandPrix held at Purdue University and the 3rd year at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Through the help of sponsors, we are hoping to complete our goal and race in the International eV Grand Prix held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in May. We especially thank our sponsors for their continued support and Purdue University for allowing this club to take place, allowing us to engineer a brighter future.
